Jenna Ortega Warns Fans of Abusing ‘Wednesday’ Dolls in New TikTok Trend

Wednesday Addams is not messing around.

Jenna Ortega told fans to stop participating in a viral TikTok trend involving the abuse of “Wednesday” dolls.

Recent videos have shown people coming across dolls of Ortega’s character in the hit Netflix series being sold in stores and flipping their hair back to make the dolls appear bald.

In one video, there are over a dozen Wednesday Addams dolls sitting on display in a store after being turned bald.

At least one store even had to put up a sign saying, “Don’t twist your hair on Wednesday, you’ll be asked to leave.”

Ortega, 22, finally spoke about the viral trend by commenting on one of the TikToks.

“Please don’t”, wrote the actress.

However, most fans were amused by the trend.

“WHY ARE THEY SO CUTE SO FUNNY,” one TikToker wrote.

“It’s never that serious,” said another person.

Someone else wrote, “Now is that too far, getting kicked out for her baldness?”

“But why do they care so much,” read a fourth comment.

Even brands like Uno, Vitamin Water, Fanta, Rice Krispies Treats, Play-Doh and La Roche Posay took a hit from the viral trend.

“The way the dolls look like they’re on it too,” commented La Roche Posay.

“Wednesday” premiered on Netflix in November. 2022 and will return for Season 2 in 2025.

The series, created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, follows the teenage daughter of Gomez and Morticia Addams as she enrolls at Nevermore Academy, where she is thrust into solving a murder.

Ortega told Times UK last year that she was initially unsure about signing on to the horror comedy series because she wanted to focus more on her film career.

“I got the email, I passed it,” said the “Scream VI” star. “I’ve done a lot of TV in my life. All I ever wanted to do was film.”

However, she said she changed her mind because of Tim Burton, who produces the series. The pair have since worked together on the “Beetlejuice” sequel.

In an interview with Vanity Fair in August, Ortega teased that “Wednesday” Season 2 will feature more “horror.”

“Not to mention that we’re suddenly the worst show of all time,” she explained. “I mean, there are six-year-olds watching. We’re doing this now that Wednesday just seems. She scares herself a little.”
